Great Country Farms
Location: Bluemont, VA (57 miles from DC)
Located in the picturesque foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Great Country Farm’s Fall Pumpkin Harvest Festival is a great option for families looking for pumpkin picking, and farm animals you can feed. The jumping pad, animals, and obstacle course are my kids’ favorite parts. Take the note the corn maze is huge and difficult – I was getting a little nervous we’d never make it out! I had to bust out a compass to finally find our way.
Great Country is definitely one of the most fun pumpkin patches near DC, and we like that it’s less crowded than Cox. While, it doesn’t have as many slides as Cox, it is less hectic and much more scenic.
